04 - Beaulieu

After the usual breakfast, we were off to Beaulieu (think Ferris Bueller except Bue-lee) where we visited in addition to the estate grounds, the James Bond Experience (original cars and stuff from the movies), Mill Pond, Beaulieu Abbey, a Victorian flower garden, the Rufus Stone (possibly) (blimey who cares I still do not know what it is or really even care), the Secret Army Exhibition ( I guess no longer a secret), and the National Motor Museum (cars from all eras back to the first cars ever built).

That took most of 5 hours so after that we did some driving, saw the New Forest and the wild ponies (they live in the forest, they feed at the side of the road).

Later we walked the along the shore to Spice Island where with me mush Tony, and Jane and Lisa, I had a couple of pints at the Still & West. We drank Fosters (super chilled non o this room temperature beer) and they drank London Pride (yep room temperature warm beer). From there we walked to the Gunwharf Quay to have Italian at Strada.

More walking after that to end a terrific day. Again we avoided the rain, with the temperature being a comfortable cool.
